Norman Potter who was captain of the club in 1944 designed the present clubhouse.
The total cost was £7,500. So it was that by 1937 the Davyhulme Park Golf Club Company Limited had raised finance by issuing shares and had completed the purchase of the golf course and the clubhouse.
Individual club members originally held the shares in the limited company. The club council have pursued a policy of purchasing shares on the death of members so that over 60% of the total shares are now owned by the club on behalf of the members and it is the intention over a period of time to increase the total shareholding to 100% so that the whole of the course and clubhouse will be owned by the members via the ownership of shares in the limited company.
